今年で４７回目を迎えた東京スポーツ新聞社制定「２０２０年度プロレス大賞」選考委員会が１４日にオンラインで行われ、最優秀選手賞（ＭＶＰ）は新日本プロレスの内藤哲也（３８）が３年ぶり３度目の受賞を果たした。また年間最高試合賞（ベストバウト）は１月５日の新日本プロレス東京ドーム大会のＩＷＧＰヘビー級・インターコンチネンタルダブル選手権、オカダ・カズチカ（３３）ＶＳ内藤が選出された。２冠王者の内藤はプロレス大賞でも自身初の２冠を獲得した。なお新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止のため授賞式は行わない。
The selection committee for the 2020 Pro Wrestling Awards, now in its 47th year, was held online on January 14, and the MVP award went to Tetsuya Naito (38) of New Japan Pro Wrestling for the third time in three years.
